    Finally tasted the coolaid

My NOS 2006 record cranks came in yesterday.
They sure are nice. They might be too nice for my bike, nah.

My first piece of Campy. I want more.
I first wanted Campy back in the mid 80's with the C-record stuff.

Bike is older steel cross. Not sure if I want to race cross on them but....I will.

if you're going single up front no worries, but campy's 135 bcd means the smallest ring you can run is 39... which is why lots of crossers run non-campy cranks on otherwise all-campy drivetrains

Not sure if I am understanding you. What is the issue?
I have been running Shimano 38/48 with a 12-25 and plan on going 39/46 with the records.
TA makes a pinned 46 and 48 T outer ring.
Once I switch over the rest of the drivetrain I was thinking 13/26 or 12/25 again.

Then again, I can always just use the Records for the summer road riding and use the Ultegras I have now for cross season. Na, I want to race my Records.

I race cross with Campy and it's great with 39/46 and 13-26.

I have Record 2008 and I'm using 52/42 rings. I'm using the Stringlight CT2s. The are ceramic/Teflon coated. Way better than campy rings IMO.

Be warned. Once you get Campy fever there's no turning back!

    Welcome to the club!
