    August in AZ

This is about the time I can start sensing Fall. It's still hot in the city but getting more tolerable and the mornings are becoming delicious.

It may be nice out but apparently my coworkers have thoughts on the odor of my gear. In their defense a week before this I got caught in a storm on the way to work and, well, I stank.

One morning it was nice enough to ride to the park and not worry about 3rd degree burns from the playground eqpt.

One weekend I opted to trade oven for sauna and went to NC.

And a few other randoms from August.
I kept thinking how little riding I got in this Summer but things don't appear to have been too bad.
    This bodes well for Fall...

    We've noticed that lately too.

You need to start thinking about moving to warmer climes for the winter!

It was chilly in Tucson this morning! At least, it was less than 75 at 5:00! The end is in sight.

Yeah, a few weeks ago I woke up to 70 degrees and thought I had been magically transported to a different state. I do love living in Arizona, but the summers can really take their tole on you. I'll be doing the Best Buddies ride in a couple of weeks riding down the California coast. I can't wait to soak up the cool coastal air!

Man, if that's a cool week, I wouldn't want to be there when it was hot!

Bikepacking ... I've got to try that.

Gifford PInchot ... Holy of Holies!

    Nice pics.

Wow, you really get around! The only problem is that when you retire you`ll never notice the difference.

    I envy you because I love the desert. I don't envy you because I don't like 106F.

Strangely enough I don't find 106 to be that bad. Once it gets over 110, then I start to notice.

Agreed, this is where I am when its 110. Zmudshark and his DeRosas and Miata has arrived, so we will get some late August road pix of Scottsdale/Carefree to post in this thread

Cool spell, high temps down from the 112 range, Zmudshark and I head out toward Seven Springs, and then to the foothills in Carefree. Pix of Zmud are from Cave Creek Rd up by the road to Bartlett Lake looking down on Carefree and North Scottsdale
