Joshua Tree is beautiful. Did some major camping and hiking about 2 years ago. If you have any pics of Desert Turtoises it would be awesome, they are an Endangered Species FYI.

Great pics. Love those granite rocks.

They like the temperature this time of year so they are out of their burrows more. I did see one while hiking but I prefer not to disturb them in any way. They are definitely one of the unique parts of Joshua Tree!

    Thanks Ridgetop!

I love Joshua Tree! I have visited there only once but would love to go back. I am a painter and do a lot of landscapes from parks we visit. I did a painting of the very same rock pictured in your 7th photo... seriously. When you paint something you recognize the details. I painted that rock because it reminded me of a Georgia O'Keeffe scene.

I like the pics, but isn`t it stinking hot around there by this time of year? I`m NOT a desert tortoise

    Thanks Mr. Versatile

Rodar, it’s usually in the 80’s this time of year and nice for riding/hiking/climbing...last weekend was perfect weather for me.

Nice pics, I'd probably crash off the side of the road looking at all the scenery. I'm putting that on my list.

Great photos and very artistic. Thanks. You might like JTree in January: snow can highlight the landscape beautifully.

Outstanding photos. They give you a feel for the place when you see them, not just artistic feedback.

Thanks evs! Art853, I haven't been there in the winter but snow would be an interesting contrast!

Beautiful! My wife and I used to camp there back in the 80's; very spiritual, remote landscape.
