bb size in 2009 sworks roubaix

    bb size in 2009 sworks roubaix

    I have a 2009 sworks roubaix and I want to change to a compact crank

    I cant seem to get and answer as to what OSBB means. am trying to narrow the filed on my buying options based on the BB needs. can anyone comment on this ?

    Basically it's BB30 but 61mm wide rather than 68mm. Bearings are the same. What crank is on your bike now?

    i know its oversize bottom bracket but is that BB30? or something else?

    is there a diameter I can measure wit calipers

    Yeah, just pull the crank out. It's either a 6mm allen or a T45. There's a Specialized tool for it that has the markings on it for whether or not it's screwed in all the way. It looks like a long black Torx bit in an adapter so you can put it on a ratchet drive. If yours is that old it's most likely the 6mm. If you have the SBC crank you can take off the rings/spider and get a compact spiker and rings and bolt them on to your arm.
