spending $3500 on a nice build and using a knock off China frame doesn't make any sense to me. You can find nice lightly used frames heavily discounted ya know? I'd use a repaired frame before I did a China Knockoff.

I was wondering if you would get around to asking about Chinese frames.

It's not for everyone , but I'm OK with a certain level of risk. I'm 2-1/2 years and near 4,000 miles on a Flyxii FR322. One of the reasons I got it is because it can be ordered with a BSA bottom bracket, which I can install and service.

Rides great and I haven't killed it yet. The money saved on a $2500 Italian thing let me go to Di2, which was worth it. Not sure I'd do Chinese carbon rims though and certainly no carbon wheel on rim brakes.

I do agree with others that with a $3500 budget, I'd do a name brand frame, even new-old-stock, mechanical and good wheels.
