    Black Campy Chainrings

    Hi All
I am looking for good quality chainrings to suit current Campy cranksets which are either entirely matt black or dark grey. I particularly want to avoid chainrings with silver / shiny machined teeth or over the top grahics. Any suggested sources / products would be very welcome.
Also interested to know if there are any views on performance of aftermarket chainrings in comparison with original items?
    Many thanks

    TA and Stronglight

Both these companies make chain rings that will fit Campy in the color schemes you want.

After a few rides they're going to start turning silver anyway.

Campy Crank & other rings not compatible

Be careful. I just discovered that my Campy Ultra Torque Crank has some strange bolt pattern. The BCD is suppose to be 110mm on my compact crank. I'm running a 50/34 and an 11x21 or 23. I decided I wanted to add a little more high end speed by switching to a 52/36.

Both of the new chainrings I wanted to add are FSA 110 BCD. However, the bolt attachment behind the crankarm doesn't line up. When I lay the Campy rings on the FSA rings I noticed that the Campy rings have one bolt hole which is offset from the others. Very weird.

So I guess I'm limited to Campy rings only.
Or does anyone know where to get a compatible set or 52/36 rings?

    Not really

TA now makes rings to fit the Campy compact crank. It's called Nerius.

    Thanks

Wish I knew that b4 I got the FSA rings.
    I just figured 110BCD = 110BCD.

Unfortunately, not with UT compact. It's 110 + 112: 112 mm for the hole that lines up with the crankarm.

Also, a caveat with aftermarket rings. There have been some threads about some rings that are said to fit UT compact, but it turned out not to be the case. Not sure if TA rings were mentioned, but it would be worth double-checking before buying.

EDIT: Here is the thread. Looks like TA rings were the culprit.

TA Specialities. Fairwheel Bikes is where I purchased mine from.
