Bottom Bracket Cable Guide Question - Specialized Roubaix

Frame is a 2005 Specialized Roubaix Elite carbon. The bottom bracket guide is so low profile (thin, snug against the frame) that the cables rub on the downtube/BB shell before they enter the plastic guide. Seems like I need a higher profile (thicker) guide, but this also has a "tail" that goes up through a hole in the frame to keep the FD cable from rubbing the the routing hole in the carbon frame, so a generic won't do it. Anyone else had a similar problem? Any solutions? Seems like a design flaw by Specialized.

    solution...

I've got this problem to as very minor extent on one frame. Some thin plastic shim material should cure the problem. Perhaps part of a old clear plastic water bottle of any flexible plastic container, cut to the size of the cable guide.

Strip out a piece of plastic inner housing from a section of cable housing and thread it onto the cable where it rubs on the BB shell.
