    Bottom bracket question

I have a Specialized Tricross (https://www.specialized.com/us/en/tr...t-disc/p/49858). Over the winter I'm changing it over to a SRAM 1x drivetrain. I'm not sure what I need to look for in terms of a bottom bracket. It says "Shimano, outboard cartridge bearings, 68mm shell" but is that enough to go on to be able to tell what to replace it with? If not what to I need to do to make sure I get the right size?

    'brifter' is a lame word.

That is enough info. Your frame has a 68mm threaded bottom bracket shell. SRAM offer 2 cranks that will work with their corresponding bottom brackets. GXP is the 'old' style crank with a stepped axle (24>22mm), and the 'newer' DUB design that uses a 29mm axle. I'd recommend DUB as that's what SRAM are moving towards. Just make sure you get a both a DUB crank and bottom bracket, and that the bb is BSA(English) threaded.
