Campy clamp-on front derailleur w/ shimano frame clamp.

Okay, well, I've got a slight issue.

The bolt on the campy bolt-on front derailleur has a "curved" washer that seems to be press fit.

This curved washer on the bolt does not match up with the flat-backed shimano frame clamp that came with the frame. Can you take these curved washers off the campy bolts? It doesn't seem like you can....

    Thanks!

    easy fix???

The bolt is just an ordinary M5 bolt. A 16mm length should do. Ace hardware has stainless steel models and flat washers too. I've got this setup with a shimano clamp and a campy braze-on FD on my KG461.

I bought a box of 50 of these bolts for $6 from www.mcmaster.com, since they have many uses on bicycles.

Good call. Seeing as I have 12 of these damn bikes to do, I think I'll go pick up a bunch.

    about the length...

You'll probably only need 12mm long bolts. Seems like I had to cut my 16mm bolt shorter. I've got some wire strippers that have threaded holes for clipping off small bolts to shorter lengths, the 10-32 size works slick. It's easier than using a hacksaw.
