    Crankset washer/seal

I just removed my crankset and there is a small rubber washer or seal that sat between the spider and bottom bracket. It is stretched out, so I want to replace it. Can anyone tell me the proper name and where to find one? I haven't any luck.

There are a bazzillion types of cranks. All with different washer/seals. How can anyone tell you anything without knowing the type of crank you have?

Take it to a bike shop so they can look at it.

You're kidding, right? No brand...no model...no information at all?

Wow, didn't realize I was setting myself up to be attacked. I wasn't looking for an exact part number, just a some direction in what to look for since my searches have some up empty. Sorry I didn't give more details.

Anyway, I have a Shimano BB6700 bottom bracket with a FSA Gossamer crankset. This seal looks like a thin blue rubber band. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YOUR searches came up empty, but you expected others with zero info to guide you somewhere unknown.

We used to have tons of those little o-rings in stock but w/ fewer and fewer bikes being spec'd w/ FSA cranks I haven't had them for a few years. But...

I didn't give zero info, I gave a description of what I saw. Most of the crankset and BBs I see online seem to have the same basic design, so I thought someone might know what I was referring to. If there needed to be more clarification, a simple followup question is all that is needed.

Thank you. I was not sure that it was an o-ring because it is so thin, but maybe that is just because it is stretched.
