    Fizik Antares

Just wondering if anyone has tried the older Antares with the Manganese
rails and smooth microtex cover. Does it feel any different than the newer one with the two piece suede like cover. I saw it online on sale, and was thinking of getting it instead of the newer design.

I had one that came stock on a Cervelo R3. I thought it was a nice saddle with really good sit bone support. The microtex cover allowed me to move around on the saddle, but wasn't slippery - kept me planted.

Sorry I can't compare to the newer cover Antares since I've never used that version.

Edit: I do however, have an Aliante R5 that came stock with a Canyon with the suede finish. It does feel tackier and grippier. The Aliante is a bit too curvy for me, however.
