NEED HELP finding this Fizik Aliante TwinFlex carbon rail saddle!

    Hello fellow cyclists!

I am getting back into cycling after a long 8 year hiatus. My last rig setup I was riding with the Fizik Aliante TwinFlex carbon rail saddle. I had gone through at least 5 different saddles prior to that before I was able to dial in on the Aliante. Most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden on in my honest opinion. Due to financial circumstances at that time, I had to liquidate my prize possession along with the saddle.

Fast forward to 8 years later. I am now back on the saddle, however, I noticed that Fizik no longer has this in production. I am currently riding on the Aliante R1 Open saddle and I feel these new ones are subpar to their older models. I've been riding on the R1's for the past 6 months and they are extremely uncomfortable. I feel like they are like knives cutting through my groin. Anyone else experience this as well?

In any case, I've been searching online high and low for this model and particularly the color scheme as well. If anyone comes across an online store or eBay please, please let me know.

See Fizik's photo older model of the Aliante below.

Man, after 8 years, any saddle would hurt my ass.

Have you played around with your bike fit?

Yeah, I had gone through a bike fit. Messed around with height, fore/aft, tilt and everything for the past 6 months. The only thing I am thinking of which is giving me the sharp pain is the cut-out, edgy part of the saddle.

The R1 Open isn't 'subpar', it just doesn't fit YOU. Be careful how you voice your opinions.

OP, check out this bike fitters youtube channel. He talks quite extensively on just what you are experiencing on saddles. It might shed some insight.
