I have been using a Lezyne Steel Drive for about 7 years and it has been flawless. I agree about the threaded chuck being very reliable.

how does that work? instead of a "QR" type of lock onto the presta valve, with the Lezyne, you screw it in?

Yes, older Lezyne floor and most of their hand pumps are simply screw-on. The problem I find is that they tend to pull out the valve core during removal, very frustrating when you are on the road trying to fix a flat, or simply top off. Not a fan with this design at all. Maybe this is why they now use a new design that does not screw-on, but uses a sleeve that locks onto the stem. It works better than the screw-on type, but I had the o-ring behind the lock sleeve slip out and cause leaks.
