    Pinarello Aria 1" fork Question

Did your Aria fork come with an expander plug? Mine didn't.

    Who makes/carries 1" expander plug?

Also does anyone know what year Pinarello stopped supplying Aria fork with their frames? My guess is 03.

And does anyone know what is pre-03 Pinarello seatpost size? 27.2mm post seem to fit awfully tight.

    some help...

I assume your fork has a 1" carbon steering tube. Supergo sells a universal expanding plug.

If a 27.2 seatpost fits in snugly, that's undoubtedly the correct size. The next smaller size is 27.0 and that would fall into the seat tube. Perhaps the seat tube needs a minor interior sanding to remove burrs or paint.

What frame are you riding? I have a 99 Paris with the Aria. My fork has an steel steerer so I don't need an expander plug. I use the star nut. Also, my Paris uses a 27.2 post.

    My '02 Opera

has the Aria fork, which came with the expander and a top cap. The post is 27.2 and the fit is fine.

My 01 Opera uses the Aria and it came with a Pinarello branded top cap/expander plug. Through my ham-fisted ignorance, I managed to round out the pre-load hole and had to replace it. I'm now using an FSA generic 1" expander.

Also using 27.2 Chorus Ti post with no fit problems. It's snug, but it's not impossible. Steel is funny, get a little layer of oxidation in the tube and getting the post in can be a challenge.
