    powertap lockring broke apart

    Hi all,

I have a powertap g3 hub and the funky lockring has broken apart, leaving the threaded bits inside the unit/cap. I have a new lockring, but am not sure of the best way to get the bits and pieces out of the unit/cap itself. Once I remove the bits of the lockring that seem to hold the cap in place, might I just pry it up, using the tool? Should I use something pointy to bust up the remnant of the threads and prod them out first?

I'd appreciate any advice on how to navigate this. Thanks.

They call it the "threaded triangle lock nut."
