Prefer the Old Style Brake Hoods

I have one ride, a CF Bianchi with 105 10sp groupo. My other is a Pinarello Gavia TSX with Campagnolo Chorus 8sp Ergo.

I ride both bicycles pretty much equally but I am amazed how much more I like the feel of the 8sp Chorus brake/shift levers over the "elongated" Shimano version. My ergo levers have the same feel that I had with the Record brake levers with the downtube shifters.

I have noticed that newer Campagnolo 11 and 12 speed (and probably 10 speed as well) have moved more to a Shimano style with elongated brake hoods, so I guess I found my "sweet spot" with Campagnolo Ergo 8 shift/brake levers.

You can upgrade to Campy 10 speed and still have the same shape shake... (for cxwrench). I got used to the new hoods and now I always think I'm going to slip over the old hoods when I ride a bike with them.
