    Removing extra brake levers

I have a Specialized Tricross. It has those extra brake levers on the flats of the bars. It's this model - https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/bi...allery-image=1

I never use the extra levers but I didn't care about them being there. I just got a handlebar bag and the levers interfere so I need to take them off. It looks like I need to remove the cables themselves to get these levers off. Is that the case?

Yes you do. And you'll need to replace your housing. Or add a housing connector or inline adjuster to splice the housing.
