Seatpost to Seat Rails Torque Specs

Anyone have tightening torque spec for the rail binder on a 1 bolt Chorus seatpost? Early 2000s, the sexy flattened style.

I found a Campy manual for a 2011 carbon model which probably uses the same head, but they also said the one bolt was not supposed to be lubed.

    Answer: 13-16 Ft-lbs.

And yes, that's for a single bolt attachment.

    Thanks, Pete.

I ended up going in that range. Used 160 in lbs. as the Campy manual I found from 2011 called for a min of 159 and a max of 196 in lbs. Still wondering about the instruction to "never lubricate the fixing screw".

If you lube the threads, you need to reduce the torque rating applied to tighten. The torque specs are with unlubed threads.
Probably not going to make much difference on this bolt, cylinder heads or main rod bolts it's going to make a world of difference.
