Shimano 6700 Freehub, can I get a replacement?

Hi all, I have a bit of a problem that I hope I can find some help for here. I have been running an open pro rear wheel for several years and the freehub has finally given up. No big deal, or at least I thought. Went to ebay and ordered a 6700 freehub body. Installed it and then realized it did not fit properly. Not enough spacing at the spokes. Removed it and took a look, definitely built different than my old one (see photos) Now every 6700 freehub body I see for sale online looks like the one I just bought. Any ideas what is going on? My hub is clearly labeled FH-6700. I am currently running a 6600 with some of the seals removed to make it fit but hope that is only temporary.

You have the wrong part clearly. Shimano also makes a complete wheelset in that range which is tubeless compatible & the hubs in the complete wheelset are different from the standard ultegra level 6700 hubs. The ultegra 6700 wheelset uses straight spoke lacing with aero spoke while the ultegra 6700 road hubset is made for j-bend spokes. You'll need to look up the exact part # within the 6700 family.

I feel like if I search on google the pictures that come up look more like your old one than new one. Anyway, what about the one at Performance:

Thanks Guys...I think I (and Jetdog) figured something out. The one I need is called an FH-6700 and the one I bought is called a WH-6700. The FH goes for about $40 and the WH for about $20. I guess they made more than one version of a 6700 Hub. And by the way, I thought Performance went out of business.

They did go out of business, a lot of good deals at their retail stores' going out of business sales. But then restructuring and came back. Online only for now I think.

From their website: "The Bike Nashbar & Performance Bike trademarks were sold at Auction and as of February 16, 2019, the websites were re-launched under new ownership."

I'm not totally certain, but I believe the 105 5700 level road freehub might also work for you as well. I think I have one of those in my tool box somewhere. Its getting late but I'll try to find it tomorrow & compare. If you really want to be certain, you'll have to look up the actual technical specs to make certain that dimensionaly all parts are the same size. I'm only mentioning this in case the 6700 free hub is hard to come by. The 105 is pretty easy to find & plentiful.
