    Veloce - What Bottom Bracket

    Hello All

I've Just become a member, so treat me gently.

I have a full veloce 9 speed (tripple) setup on my Coppi (English BB), and I have just bought a reasonable titanium frame (Italian BB).
I would like to upgrade the bottom bracket to Chorus or if necessary Record.
I have been told that it is it a straight swap, but I have also been told they will not fit.

    Help Please.

    Best Wishes to All
    Nick

Here is a link to Branford bike

    http://www.branfordbike.com/bottombr/bb.html

Veloce cranks cannot be used with a chorus or Record BB. It will change the chainline and may even interfere with rear stays.

You must use the Cartridge style AC-H 115 mm (i think) BB with the Veloce triple.

If you want to Chorus or Record you can get a 111mm Chorus or Record BB and then a Chorus or Record triple crank. (expensive!)

Branford has answers to all your questions.

    Consider Phil Wood

As Bimini mentioned a Chorus/Record bottom bracket will not work. If you're not planning on upgrading the drivetrain anytime soon, I would consider a Phil Wood bottom bracket. It is worth while upgrade of the Veloce/Centaur bottom bracket.
