EPO? Testosterone? Wait. Did this come off Lance's bike?

Any time I have talked with Garmin about any problems I have had with any product of theirs they have gone overboard helping make it right, even things well beyond the warranty, they will make it right.

It's not all the uncommon on modern gadgets. Everything nowadays is held together with double sided adhesive foam instead of screws.
I have a friend who's garmin did that, not as bad as yours though. I've had a couple cell phones do it.

Meh. When the power-button (and therefore waterproofing) on my Edge1K failed...literally a pennies-fix of a failed rubber bit...They wanted $175 for an out-of-warranty repair/replacement-after contacting them nicely through official channels. Sold it to a mate for that much, as I could get a new bike computer for that.

Mate lives in Kansas City. He drove to their offices. They exchanged it while he was standing at the desk for "free".

    YMMV, greatly, apparently.

i would make fun of people who constantly swap phones prematurely but given this experience and how much i rely on my phone these days i'm going to swap my samsung as soon as the next model comes out. as it is i can no longer charge it without using the wireless charger. not a problem at home but not ideal on vacation
