    Jamis Nova?

a buddy is interested in picking up a Jamis Nova for riding rough desert fireroads in New Mexico, commuting in London's heavy urban traffic, offroad/singletrack in the muddy/sandy South Downs of Surrey/East Sussex, and touring for a week in eastern Europe in September

is the Jamis Nova up to all these activities? comments/suggestions/critiques for other rides would be appreciated

he's not gonna be racing but is sporty and wants a do it all bike

    (I've seen the 9 reviews.)

I've raced my 2004 Nova for 2 years (Cyclocross Mens C) and have been pleased with it.
I changed seatpost, stem and went with a set of Salsa Bell Lap bars.
Also have been running with Spinergy Xero Lite wheels to lighten up but stock wheels are very strong.
I have ridden it on road with other roadies and had no problem.
I would tell your buddy to go for it if he likes the bike!!
