    Mini V or modern Canti?
Been running Mini V for a bit now with SRAM red 10 speed. Front brake set up easy and works great. Rear brake, I've had struggles with. In order to get halfway decent lever feel, the pads need to sit pretty close to the rim, but there is also some slop, which is giving me fits as I get pad rub and other issues. Anyone had better luck with a modern canti for lever feel and decent stopping power/modulation with added mud/rim clearance?

I use TRP CX 8.4 v's with Red shifters on some older Ksyrium ES wheels. Love the braking, the lever feel is awesome. The lever pull though is very delicate though. Gotta have the wheels perfectly true and the pads in good shape and I can get pad contact about halfway into the pull. Very easy to bottom out the levers though and they'll hit the bars when pulling them. Takes some fine adjustment.

Thanks. I also found a Park Tools video on Youtube and went through their suggested process with my set-up. Seems to have helped. I was able to back the cable position off on the pinch bolt, re-align the pads for better rim contact and create a bit more of a gap between rim and pad when not engaged without losing much braking performance.
