    Steer clear of these clowns...

    OK, I take back all the nice things I said about "bike king (i.e., trackbikeking, wwwDOThouseoftrackDOTcom)". They definetly have a Jekyll/Hyde (Terrie/Neal) thing going on. I bought a Soma Somax wheelset from them with no problems, but "the case of the missing pedals" sent Neal over the edge...

    BTW, if you are military, serving overseas, you can basically f-off because we apparently aren't worth their time. If they had a clue or any business savvy, they would offer insurance on items sent through USPS in the event that something like "the case of the mising pedals" were to happen. Instead they spend all their creative brain power to type up long-winded e-mail about how running a business sucks, e-bay sucks, etc. I didn't want a diatribe on the insights of business, I just wanted pedals for my damn bike...lol!!!

    Anyway, I've posted my ongoing e-mail traffic with them on this blog

    Screw these guys...I highly recommend www.businesscycles.com for track related items.

    yikes!....

    unreal.....just a bit unprofessional. Looks like they won't be around for long though, hard to get away with that stuff these days when it quickly appears on the web.
    On a happier note, I can also highly recommend Business Cycles....not the cheapest, but totally reliable and a pleasure to deal with....the owner, John Dacey, is also a great source of advice and will not try to push an expensive part if a cheaper one will do the job.

    yeah

    John kicks ass. You can get some good deals in his specials section. I will spend more $ for good customer service. I love LBS, but being in Italy the language barrier scares me. Soon enough I'll be in Anchorage, AK and everything will be cool.

    ciao

    LOL! I really like the last email from Neal. What a class act:

    =====
    Subject: Re: Was my order shipped?
    Date: Thu, 28 Apr 2005 02:12:27 -0700
    From: Bike shop
    To: daveIT

    I will not waste yet more time with it. the last email was not a goos use of
    our time and to take more losses because of you is not in the game plan.

    Thanks again, Neal
    =====

    Hey, I need goos use of my time. Sorry to hear that you are no longer in their game plan, daveIT!! LOL LOL

    Are you in Napoli? I noticed the military ref and then the Italy ref.
    D*mn just went on to read the blog, what and a$$! Not suprised he only did 2 sales in 4 days with that attitude.
    I ordered a wheel from IRO and am very happy with it, I'll stick with them.

    I'm at Aviano in norther Italy. It's about an hour north of Venice (by train). I've been through Naples from train station to the ferry port in a taxi...talk about scary.

    more play-by-play action

    http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=80898

    Looks like they made a new eBay account..."revenge-industries" and selling under the store name Holly's Hobbies. Sounds Jekyll/Hyde-ish which is the modus operandi.

    Anyway, I think I finally figured out the puzzle. This whole time Neal was getting a sex change and it was the hormone pills that caused him (err her) to go insane. Hopefully "Holly" runs a little better business.
