    site timesportusa seems down..

...or so it seems over here. I wanted to find out what, if any, is the difference between VXR and VX Special Pro frames. If the VXR has a sloping tube I can't say anything about it except that like the VX Special Pro it weighs in at 1400 grs.and the Quickstep Davitamon (Tom Boonen, Paolo Bettini, Servais Knaven, etc.) and Brioche La Boulangere pro teams are equiped with it. It is out of carbon monocoque.
I rode a VX Special Pro (aluminium lugs with carbon tubes) for several thousands of kms. and I liked it tremendously (stable, comfortable) but when I transferred all the parts back to my Trek 5200 it was like coming home. Maybe its my particular anatomy but it suddenly all fit like a glove again. So smooth.
So, Time is fine and also quite beautiful, but I think there are better bikes on the market.
    Good luck,
