to anyone in the greater pittsburgh area

mailed to me by another pittsburgh cyclist:

the driver who hit and killed a cyclist in hazelwood faces her trial on march 10th at i beleive 8:30 am. in commemeration for cyclists who have been hit and/or killed, we are planning a silent protest / vigil, riding arond the court house from about 8:10 to 84:0 am. i know its a bit early, but try to make it out. this is currently in the planning stages and there will be updates, as well as posters and flyers posted around town.

i'll post any updates here as they happen.

oh, and i just remembered that there's a regonal forum now too, guess i should go cross post this there.

    Re: Pittsburgh Cyclist Killed

I am in Pittsburgh and will plan on attending. Keep us up to date with the plans.

    A couple ideas:

You may want to contact Bike Pittsburgh
    http://www.bike-pgh.org/
They are an advocacy group who could probably help with getting more cyclists downtown.

And Critical Mass Pittsburgh may also be interested

A detailed story for anyone who is interested
