    I use photoshop

    Resizing Avatars

    Easiest way is to open the picture in Microsoft Paint. Once opened, use the Stretch / Skew feature to shrink the picture. You can then check the attributes of the picture, which is displayed in pixels, to see if you have reached the 80 x 80 requirement yet. Both of these features are found in the Image menu in Paint

    I use Ifranview as my image viewer... it has a resize/resample feature in the options menu. Just change it to 80 pixels wide and save it. Upload to here... done.

    BTW, Ifranview is free shareware software if you are interested in it, I found it on tucows.
