    Clipless Pedal Recall

Peloton recalls pedals on 27,000 bikes after reports of injuries
    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/15/pelo...-injuries.html

Considering how expensive a Peloton bike is, I'm surprised they would spec it with these pieces of crap.

Why surprised? They come with pedals that take Delta instead of the newer and better Keo cleat. And they don't even include the cleats. It's long been obvious they went cheap on the pedals. (They probably figured non-cyclists wouldn't notice it care, and that cyclists would already have their favorite pedal system to replace them with, anyway)

I’m glad this wasn’t about Pitbull. I kinda miss those threads.

For $2500USD for the bike and $50/month, most people expect more than crappy LOOK knock offs.

Granted the Peloton bike is an overpriced dumb exercise bike from from the 80s, just with an LCD strapped to it...but still.

I wonder what ever happened to Pitbull. Did he move on to a different retirement hobby?

I was wondering that too. Just disappeared. I would've thought with the massive increase in bike ridership during COVID, it would've been the opportune time to launch.

Just want to bring everyone up to date. Here is just a small part of our first production run of the cleat. Also here is a fully assembled set that we are sending out to ACT lab LLC in sunny California to do our 3rd party testing for our product assurance.

My guess is 3rd party testing didn't go so hot or we would've heard about it.

Well, you have to admit, it was a pretty stupid idea.

Could also be that manufacturing was a problem, first manufacturing was delayed months unexpectedly, then shipping has gotten severely delayed or astronomically expensive from China.
