    cycling movies

I just started watching Pantani's movie the death of a cyclist. Not a bad movie. I have read the book. It was pretty good.
I also have Premium rush, The Cyclist. (the one with K.C. Clyde about racing around Salt Lake.) Of course American Flyers and Quicksilver. I would like to see the movie that REI did around Marco Pantani but I don't speak Italian at all. I wish that there was a version that at the least had subtitles. I have yet to find one.
Another movie that I would like to see is a Chinese movie called To the Fore. Has some great cinematography. Again I can't find anything with a subtitle.
anyone have any other movies that look interesting?

    Breaking Away is a classic.

If still on Netflix, Line of Sight is full of messengers doing all sorts of cheeky shenanigans on two wheels.

American Flyers has the best quote of all time. Even before I was ever into cycling I loved this line:

的知 still here, Belov . . . Only I知 not behind you, I知 really two seconds ahead . . . you know why you won the Olympics: because I wasn稚 there! But now I知 here! Only I知 not here, I知 two seconds ahead!"

Ride the Divide, The Flying Scotsman, A Sunday in Hell, Slaying the Badger, and of course RAD.
That's the longest I've ever ridden without a beer stop.

"La Course en Tete," inspiring footage of Eddy the Great showing how it's done, the TDF culture, the whole grand show.

Man, now I gotta get out the Molteni cap!

Some great camerawork in "Stars and Water Carriers." Watching those guys do it is truly inspiring, despite the big gears they used in the mountain stages. They bobbed up and down in excellent form! I'll have to remember that next time out!

"The Triplets of Belleville" is a wonderful movie, so much more than a cycling movie. The Dog steals every scene that it's in.

The dog barking repeatedly at the passing trains is one of the great extended jokes in animation history.

And of course, it's more than a "cycling movie." I take that term to mean any film in which cycling is a major theme or element, even if not central to the plot. So I'd include "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure." And "The Bicycle Thief", Vittorio De Sica's 1948 Italian masterpiece, as well as a 2001 Chinese remake, "Beijing Bicycle."

And be sure to watch all the way to the end of the credits in "Triplets" for a hilarious little Easter Egg scene.
