    Dogs & Cats living Together

Also shown on CBS Innovation Nation, could be a game changer given proper R&D.

Seems to work it you are going in a straight line, putting along at no more than 5 mph. I seriously doubt anything will come out of it. I seem to remember an article about a dozen years ago or so about a similar concept for cars/trucks and how it was going to revolutionize the industry. Shockingly, a dozen or so years later we still have pneumatic tires.

I wouldn't trust it sweeping into a downhill corner at 40-50 mph, you can but I'll stick to the tried and true tires of today. Yes, I'm a luddite. Whoa is me.

A bike that is brought back to life by salvaging a variety of spare parts is known as a "Franken-bike".
    Insert something clever here:

So how much do they cost each? As much highway robbery as some pneumatic bike tires already are, these will all but certainly be worse

That printout looks like it has square shoulders, not too good for corners.
Be cheaper just to cut it out of plywood, probably more traction too!

But the ad does have that 'groovy' music, that is getting a lot tired!

Airless bicycle tires are the technology of the future, and they always will be.

Like I said I seem to remember a similar scenario trying to be developed for cars. So far nothing and that was dozen years ago. Tells either technology doesn't work as planned or far too expensive compared to a simple pneumatic tire.

Personally I'd rather have a star wars speeder bike with optional Laser cannon for the people who can't grasp the meaning of "slower traffic, keep right".

Uh huh, I remember 25+ years ago people working on a type of double wishbone or multi-link system to replace the front fork on motorcycles. One of the main ideas being eliminating the changes in steering geometry that happens with a conventional fork. It was going to sweep through the industry. How many bikes do you see equipped with such a system? Looks like to me like the conventional fork prevailed. Just because it's old tech doesn't mean it isn't the best compromise given all parameters like manufacturing, cost, durability, ease of maintenance, performance, etc.

I even remember one enterprising engineer who thought that a front wheel drive motorcycle would be better. Hmmmmmmmm, let me think about this. You have a single track vehicle and you want to run 120+hp to the same wheel you steer with. Nope, I don't see any problems with that. Why not put a seat belt on there at the same time while you're at it.
