    Garmin 500 bar fly mount

Anyone ever heard of this or use this? I'm looking for something like this but I just want to make sure my new $250 computer won't fly off while descending at 35mph on a bumpy canyon..

Well, seeing as the manufacturer is taking "pre-orders" I'm guessing you won't find anyone who has used one yet.

That said... it looks pretty cool, and assuming the material is even just a standard grade plastic it should be fine. I may well order one myself.

I like the look of the Bar Fly mount. My only gripe with the stock Garmin mount is that I like my computer in front of the stem.

This is a cheaper $3.99 option which is a similar concept. I have it on my road and commuter/cyclocross bike for mounting the Garmin 800 or headlamp for the light system:

Bike Light Mount - Plastic [BCN-201P] - $3.99 : GeoMan Gear, The best products, the best prices, & Lightnin Fast service!

    It works well for me.

    Merlin Extralight - Campy
    Airborne Lancaster - XTR
