    The bear weighed about 63 kilograms.

    Sounds like very small bear. It's like being attacked by a kitten.

    Flaaten was wearing headphones at the time of the attack.

    Note to self: In environments with dangerous animals (or big SUVs), keep all senses alert.

    One thing is for fact, you will NOT out run a bear (even on a bike).

    Even going downhill at full speed a bear can still get at you.

    Crimeny, that's terrible. Poor guy.

    I suppose that's a positive argument for bringing along a small gatling
    gun on your rides but ....

    I wonder if he was mountain or road biking? It almost sounds like he was
    mountain biking versus road.
