I prefer to save my disc herniations for the weekend. It’s nicer that way after a long week at work.

Only if you have a weak lower back. Do light weight lifting over the winter to get the discs back into alignment. Exercise is everything. Use it or lose it.

mountain biking cures it for me. Out riding the bike on the heath, lol. For me it's really a miracle cure and no smelly hot gym to deal with. But it has to be steep and technical riding to work the core sufficiently. I do it all winter, even at night.

trouble is, 'back pain' has widely diverse causes. I get it from my job and from sitting around too much in winter. other people have completely different etiology, and the right treatment or exercise might be completely different between two people.

Not to worry, I'm sure your English is far better than my Japanese, LOL!

Core exercises are key. The stronger your core is, the more support your back will have. Planks are good exercise for the core. See below:

I would discuss this excersize thing and exactly what excersizes you plan to do with your doctor before doing anything.
If your doctor is not into 'sports', I would get a new doctor first. Some doctors are too timid, but if you have a dangerous situation, one needs to be careful.
