Putting Fizik Microtex white on is too difficult??

Mine is still clean after half a season and only one cleaning after I had to clean debris off my front tire...

That's why when I purchased my new bike, the first this I did was remove the white tape and installed black. I had many a bike with white tape, and it is always dirty no matter how much you clean it, and you have to continue to do so. Black tape = No cleaning!!!

For me I like the look for dirty white tape, especially the cork tape. The dirtier the better.. Adds style and shows you really ride the bike and not a living room/garage queen

I like my sweat stained Brooks Leather tape for the same reason.

My white tape has taken on a gray patina and looks great on my bike. I like the fact that its dirty, shows its actually ridden.

Didn't watch the video but Dawn dishwashing detergent cleans greasy cinelli cork tape like new. It's really very easy.

As for the dirty grip tape reasoning, I like to show up to a restaurant diner with greasy/dirty hands because it makes me look like I've been working? It impresses the hell out of everyone! Can I hand you a slice of bread anyone, anyone?

People really buy white bar tape?

I always thought those questions about how to clean it were trolls.

I thought you said you didn't watch it?
Once I thought I was wrong, but it turns out I was mistaken.

I think the most important part of the video was not about the methods to clean the bar tape, but rather about the reasons to clean one's bike.

Good to know, since I'm ditching black for my new ride. And for this bike, color is more important than convenience.

But a daily rider pretty much needs black.... or leather. mmm.

I thought the video was extremely informative. Although I've never owned white bar tape, and very likely never will, I somehow feel that my life is now complete.
Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them you'll be a mile away & you'll have their shoes.
