    They should make a belt too, for your hips. I think it could work.

    This is at least 4 to 5 years old. Not sure the demand was there and IIRC they weren't very comfortable.

    Does it come in a MIPS option?

    That airbag works pretty well in staged slow-motion simulated crashes in which the rider's head and the airbag never makes contact with anything.

    Seems like the driver for this is to have a "helmet" that does not muss your hair. Seems like a lot of trouble for that

    Exactly,, rewatch the demos, none of them hit their heads on the poles, works to protect for the secondary impact but not the first
