Inside the world of organized hatred of cyclists

We contribute to this stuff sometimes, but this sounds as nutso as any other hate based movement. Fun read though.

Two sides divided. There is a park I used to ride in which was a pretty dedicated cycling haunt in a high end neighborhood. Had to have a badge to enter the park...gated. A ten mile pristine road around a lake. Lots of cars and cyclists on the road. Some drunk patrons of the park would buzz cyclists on this road. Sometimes we would ride two or three across and be hammering at 25mph which was about the speed limit and some guy in a car or van would speed up to 60 mph with blazing horn and buzz us. Never got hurt. Park police seemed to scold cyclists more than speeding cagers. A lot of repremands if a particularly dumb cop was on duty who forbid riding two or three across on the road even though we could do close to the speed limit.

So yes, world's divided. Fat guys who see skinny guys in Spandex on $5K bicycles slowing them down. Has cost some cyclists their lives...and cagers who couldn't control themselves their freedom.

    People are wack.

Yeah, I think when people pour all of their energy into arguing with and attempting to control, manipulate, and impress other people all at the same time, itís basically a recipe for disaster. Nobody likes it, especially large groups of people that are mature enough to think for themselves. I guess some folks canít help themselves though.
