Hi everyone. I am fairly new to road biking and I think the bug has bitten me. I am 60 years old and not wanting to compete just enjoy and get a little more in shape. I have a Giant Roam 1 hybrid and a '80s Fuji Espree. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, note that as it's winter, fewer folks are riding, so fewer questions getting asked, thus the place can seem dead as a doornail this time of year.

So ask away, but pay attention to the subject of the question, if asking about shifting, components, etc... put the question in the Components forum. Ditto wheels and tires. etc.... this is only as some older members get picky about this, and we tolerate it as the answers they give are typically dead on and accurate.

Just ride your bike regularly, have fun and listen to your body.

Eat well, hydrate properly and get plenty of rest. Ride on.

Halo, welcome to the forum! Start doping now, it takes longer than you think to get it dialed in...
To date, philosophers have merely interpreted the world in various ways. The point however is to change it.

Welcome to RBR! Ask lots of questions. There are all types here. Some are friendly, others like to troll and some are curmudgeony while still giving helpful advice. So take all replies with a grain of salt. We're all just a bunch of schmucks who like to talk about bikes.
