    Rider Specific Bar Tape

About time or marketing run amok?

    https://bikerumor.com/2019/01/03/fiz...ar-wrap-range/

    I'm spektable…

From where I've sat, at least on the road, there are tons of other variables involved where IMHO, I'd be hard pressed to notice (course, this is only opinion).

FYI, I've double wrapped for decades because of my massive manly hands which women adore.

Well I definitely wouldn't say "about time" to different thickness and texture. I haven't been cycling that long but I can't remember a time when people couldn't get different bar tape for different bikes if they wanted.

I kinda like the fake leather looking tape. Having multiple thicknesses and grip may not be a bad thing

Choices are good. Choices in one brand make getting a little thicker or thinner easier to do.

I don't expect all of those options to last.

Different characteristics (thickness, texture, grip) for different product lines by a supplier.

    Nothing new here. Move-on.

Fizik tape is hard to lay properly without bunching. Wonder if they added a little stretch to their tape.
    You can't fix stupid.

I used many different bands over the years. I like the Fizik 3mm soft-touch but it doesn't stretch very well. in fact over time when re-raping the bars I ripped the tape a couple times due to wear. I now gravitated to using S-Works HD tape and love the feel... Oh and I double wrap too.. the new tape over the oldest.
