    Snoqualmie Forest Gravel 101

This video was created by Yogy Namara of the Seattle International Randonneurs who posted it on the Northwest Gravel Riders facebook page.

I'm just sharing with the broader audience to show an example of what a typical gravel ride might look like in the Cascade Mountain foothills east of Seattle.

The route is 62 miles and is a mix of paved rural roads, gravel rail trails and private forest roads (a permit from Campbell Global is necessary to ride on the private roads). Note of interest, this is the general area where a rider was killed by a mountain lion (cougar) this summer.

It's not always wet like this here. Summers are amazing in this area. The higher elevations are generally not accessible in winter due to snow cover and ice on the roads.

This is a trailer for a series of videos. Check the channel page for more detailed videos in the future.
