Stupid Post of the Day: Mystery gasket from a Campy part. (picture inside)

be the first to guess correctly what part this mystery gasket came from and you will win a can of tuna fish

    Photo on 2-5-14 at 7.39 PM #2.jpg

does it go somewhere on a rear derailleur?

actually, i'm just assuming it came from a campagnolo part, because i found it in an area where i've been working on my bicycle a lot recently.

That is for extending the time between bathroom breaks while working on your bike.

    Thanks, and keep the tuna.

Why that's a reverse immersion gasket used as a buffer between the Johnson rod and the bi-lateral stabilizer.

Are you sure it's the Johnson rod and not the Fetzer valve?

Ah, good point. Johnson rod for Campy Record and Chorus, Fetzer valve for Veloce and Athena.

Johnson rod? Mighty small diameter, but I suppose Johnson rods come in all sizes.

Don't tell me nobody else saw the Code there.

I thought your shirt said free tidbit. And I don't need one of those things you are holding, so no thanks.

I can hardly believe the level of ignorance in this thread! It's a gasket that goes on the bar plugs to hold them in. Jeez you guys!
Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them you'll be a mile away & you'll have their shoes.
