We’re in an era where nearly all cassettes start with an 11t or even a 10t(!).

Given that, a 46t big ring isn’t strange at all. And you can then go 46-30 and get some nice low climbing gears.

Thus I think subcompact cranks are going to be increasingly popular going forward.
