Totally sucks, as they have the highest quality frames of anyone. All the best riding frames Iíve had were Times (VXRS, NXR, NXS). Most folks donít appreciate fine craftsmanship anymore.

I loved my "economy model" Time Edge Translink. Yeah, it ended up a twisted piece of wreckage (and I got pretty banged up in the process) but that wasn't its fault.
Mapie is a conventional looking former Hollywood bon viveur, now leading a quiet life in a house made of wood by an isolated beach. He has cultivated a taste for culture, and is a celebrated raconteur amongst his local associates, who are artists, actors, and other leftfield/eccentric types. I imagine he has a telescope, and an unusual sculpture outside his front door. He is also a beach comber. The Rydster.

Bummer. In my recent winter frame search Time was at the top of my list along only a few others. Not only do they have a passionate following they have a certain elegance in their design. Very sorry to hear that.
To date, philosophers have merely interpreted the world in various ways. The point however is to change it.

Wonder what that means for Time pedals? I've used them since the early '90s and they're great! Super light, large platform, easy engagement... I hope they don't go away.

During my lunchtime walks I would pass a boutique bicycle shop that specialized (no pun intended) in Look and Time frames. Peering into the display window invoked the same longing and desire as if I was looking into a Ferrari dealership. So exotic, European and beyond my meager budget. Life trudges on without Time framesets but the fond memories remain.

Time (Rossignol) is reconsidering / shutting down the frame building process for 1 main reason according to the article. They cant sell them. Making for some the prettiest best well made frame/bike doesn't mean anything if they don't sell. Why don't they sell? that I can't answer. cost too high... Maybe.. Poor marketing? Maybe? Combination of factors? more than likely. Its very convenient to blame other sources without the slightest bit of proof. Would everyone feel better if they were made in France by robots that resulted in the loss of almost all factory production people? Heck of a run Time frames, but maybe it's just time to go.
