    Virtual TdF - Team Astana

I never imagined this would be a reason to abandon a bicycle race:

Citing internet connectivity problems in two different locations, the team pulled out of the Zwift stage race to focus on preparations for the season restart.
Is anyone even watching? I imagine its as riveting as watching someone playing a video game over their shoulder.

No mudslides. No cobbles. No long shots of lavender fields or tractors or castles. No PG. No headwind. No bunnyhops over curbs. No argy-bargy. No pensive waiting for TVG to finally show up and throw down. No.

Yes, and they’re Australian. This actually made the national news on PBS. They interviewed a female stage winner and had some clips from the race.

I now realize I just commented on Zwift racing. I normally don’t even give kudos to Zwift rides on Strava. Jeebus, life sucks these days.

I like Zwift, and I know many folks enjoys "racing" on Zwift, but I would never, ever watch a virtual event. It blows me away that there are people that would even consider watching this

Of all the sad and terrible things happening right now, a Virtual Tour is the saddest and most pathetic of all.

I think it could be worse: listening to a virtual race on the radio

Do you have to pay to watch this? Though might be better than some football game from years ago.
