Question Wahoo KICKR 142x12 Thru Axle Adapter "Plan B"?

I need the following part to be able to ride my new disk brake bike on my 1st Gen Wahoo KICKR trainer. However, the part has been out of stock for months and Wahoo says it will continue to be out of stock for months.

Is there any chance that another manufacturer's adapter kit will work? I'm guessing not, but who knows.

It's winter right now so waiting months for Wahoo to get the part in stock won't work as I'll be riding outside in a few months!
