Early present openings. I have a new Castelli Alpha ROS jersey in red. Weather forecast says I won't need it until next Sunday at the earliest

It was more Hanukkah, but I got a new Yeti SB100 with full 2019 XTR and carbon wheels.
    Can’t wait to ride it!

I did not get any bicycle-related items for Christmas.

However, I donated about 25 years of accumulated bicycle wheels, components, tires and tubes to a cycling charity in Los Angeles called Bicycle Kitchen before moving to Kauai. I also donated two complete bicycles as well. The look on the young man's face who took all my items was priceless. In his mind, it was Christmas in September. His excitement was familiar as it was the cycling passion I felt when I first got into the hobby.

I kept my Trek Madone, a couple of wheelsets, helmet, shoes and attire. Along with the rest of my household, they are in a shipping container somewhere.

The cycling options here are very limited. But I needed to keep a few things in case the passion reignites.

Wishing you all safe and open roads along with a good tailwind in 2019.

A stunning, bright day here in Catalonia for riding. At my advanced age not sure how many more of these might be available so this one is a special gift.

I made an impulse buy while out Christmas shopping. Saw the local Performance Bike was having a going out of business sale so stopped in to look around and bought a Fuji Jari 1.3. I have been looking for a general purpose bike to fill a void in my stable. Usually I paralyze myself with indecision because of info overload when I bike shop so it felt good to walk in, ride it and buy it. Merry Christmas to me!

Some tyres that I purchased myself from Merlin Cycles and then I handed them to my wife and said "wrap them up and give them to me for Christmas".
Two wheels good. Four wheels bad.

Vector 3 pedals and the large Dyson oval-shaped fan for my trainer rides (yes, that fan is massive overkill, and not something I asked for Xmas or would’ve bought for myself).

Same here, I always end up with warming stuff for Christmas. I got a jumbo pack of toe warmers, some neoprene toe cover things that go inside the shoe but over the sock, a pair of woolie boolies, and a Craft short sleeve base layer.

My bride surprised me with a Cycliq Fly 12. I will report back once I figure out mounting with my aero bars.

I got her a steam sauna, which I also consider cycling related during the winter. Nothing like a hot steam after a cold ride.

Santa reminded me of that hooker in Bangkok and that technically I should be in jail so I settled for streaming some old cycling vids.
