You ever clean your bike and then go out and break your record time?

I know this has to be all psychological which is kind of weird, but after finally cleaning my bike, next day I went out on my training loop and smoked my old record time / speed.

I knew it was going to be a fast ride when I decided I was going to be riding the big chain ring the whole time.

    Ever happen to you?

It's definitely psychological, but not at all weird.

I avoid cleaning my bike, and rarely keep records, so I can't recall that happening.

I believe it. A dirty bike really slows you down.

Yeah, but is it the extra weight or aero loss?
