    I agree about it being overpriced. I've been considering it for a while, but the price has stuck to mrsp until now, and that has always been too steep for me. I think the sweet spot would be somewhere between $150-175... But $200 was close enough for me.

    Higher rez recording means lower battery life, and since this is more of a safety device/black box and less of an action camera, I'll accept that tradeoff. I normally keep my Contour up front set to 720p so that it doesn't blow through the battery before a ride ends.

    Under $150 is getting in the hunt - You can buy a Garmin VIRB under $100 and buy a K edge seat rail mount and have better video for less.

    Why was the VIRB discontinued? Amazon has it "discontinued" for $99.

    Old version had a rating of somewhere around 15 lumens and had a slightly different design.

    $169 seems to be the new lower price of the unit.
