    Light Jamis with compact crank

Any recomendations for a fairly light Jamis (under 19 lbs) with a compact crank? The Ventura Comp looks okay, but a bit heavy for my taste. I might be leaning toward the Motobecane Le Champ SL. The price seems hard to beat.

    Xenith Comp

FSA Gossamer, BB30. Great ride quality, 18.5 pounds, but feels lighter and faster than that on the road. Lists around $2200, but shop around and you'll do better. I'm very seriously considering one at $1700...

I have a Jamis Ventura Elite that came with all 105 stuff. The wheels are heavy but that's fixable. I don't ride it anymore b/c it didn't fit me, but I love it to death!

You don't say anything about your experience or background, but if this is your first road bike, you'll need sizing/ fitting assistance that buying online won't offer. takl23's post points up the importance of fit.
