Amazon. . Why make it hard?

Goofy pricing policy. Bought a counter-top oven for $359 and literally the next day it's $269 (same supplier/vendor). I inquire about a price adjustment and no go. Stupid thing is I just cancel the order and repurchase the one at $269 LOL. Seems like it would be easier to allow price adjustments for seven days. Now they have to pull back the one I paid $359 for, refund my credit card and ship the one I paid $269 for.

Amazon doesn't care unless they're losing money.

Amazon's policies for non-Amazon suppliers and vendors put all the cost of shipping and restocking returned items on the seller.

By doing this Amazon stays out of 'changing' the price game. If you cancel an order that's normal and the vendor is okay with that. If you order, the vendor is okay with that. If Amazon changes the order from the old price to the new, the vendor says WTF are you cutting my sales for.

So by you cancelling the first order and submitting a second order amazon is in the clear on both of the individual transactions. Both transactions are clean and simple.

    That's my guess.

Put items in a wish list and watch how the price goes down and back up repeatedly.
