Did I just have the most ironic fender-bender ever?

Earlier this winter I hit an icy snowbank with my new Subaru and cracked the bumper and fog light. It was scheduled to go to the body shop this morning. Rather than rush around before work, I had my wife follow me to the body shop / car dealer last night to drop the car off.

About 30 seconds after dropping off my car (no joke) we were driving through the parking lot in her car when a couple in a big truck t-boned us! They were looking at new cars while they drove and didn't realize that they were pulling into an intersection.

So, I ended up spending the morning at the body shop after all.

Probably a good thing that you didn't drive the Subaru there with your bike in the back and ride home.

… at least it wasn't returning home and being T-boned by the fire truck that was on it's way to your house.

LOL, yeah, that would be worse!

My original plan WAS to drop the car off in the morning and ride my bike from the shop to work. I guess that's what I get for being lazy.
